bassdog Posted May 31, 2002 Posted May 31, 2002 Well, my dad called this afternnoon and we went and saw it for the second time [ this time he stayed awake thru the whole thing ;) ] I payed attention to see what I might have missed the first time, caught on to a few more things. Now I'm starting to read between the lines and only a few more viewings and I'll have III all figured out If you have any questions or doubts, go back and see it again
sincityZ71 Posted May 31, 2002 Posted May 31, 2002 Yep, I think I am going to take notes next time I go see the movie.
Elwood Posted May 31, 2002 Posted May 31, 2002 I saw it twice. I really wanted to go for a third time, but I just can't find the time and money with working 40 hours a week and getting ready for the wedding Saturday. Hopefully it will stay here at our theatre another week and I can get a chance to go next week once the wedding is over.
CMNTMXR81 Posted May 31, 2002 Posted May 31, 2002 I've seen it twice now in analog. There are only two digital theaters in Chicago, one downtown at McClurg Ct. and one out at the Streets of Woodfield. So far, every time we've gone to see it, the digital one has sold out before we can get tickets so we are going to try again tomorrow night. I HIGHLY suggest if you have the means to see it in digital, to do so. A few of my friends have and said their brains went into mental/processing overload during some of the battle and lightsaber scenes.
chevy4x4trucks Posted May 31, 2002 Posted May 31, 2002 Maybe I'm a minority here, but I saw it and thought it blew. It was too long, too much plot, and (I know I'll be strung up for this) but I thought the acting of "anakin" was comparable to that of baywatch. It didn't seem worth it to spend two hours sitting through so much plot and set up for the original three movies, then to finish it off w/ a big battle scene. Don't hit me too hard, I just didn't like the movie. The only good thing was the fact that jar jar binks didn't talk a lot.
CMNTMXR81 Posted May 31, 2002 Posted May 31, 2002 Well I will admit that there was too much of that damn love story throughout. Otherwise I htought it kicked a$$. You're not the first one to complain about Hayden Christenson's (Anakin) acting, but I thought it went well with the charactor he is portraying.
bassdog Posted May 31, 2002 Author Posted May 31, 2002 I don't think anyone will string you up Jon Some acting was a bit dry by alot of the cast, but I can look past it. I already want the DVD so I can spend a "good" Sunday watching all of them
sincityZ71 Posted May 31, 2002 Posted May 31, 2002 I already want the DVD so I can spend a "good" Sunday watching all of them Yep, I can't wait till they have all six on DVD. I know I will be spending a day every so often having a Star Wars movie marathon.
pacodiablo Posted June 1, 2002 Posted June 1, 2002 the one wit the rat tails, anikin or whatever, was an a$$hole!
GreenRado Posted June 3, 2002 Posted June 3, 2002 Finally saw it for the first time! Was waiting for the crowds to shrink some. and to get time. My daughter liked it too. By far, my favorite part was YODA kicking some major a$$ in the final fight seen!! It will be interesting to see how they tie the 2 segments (1-3 w/ 4-6) in this last episode coming up.
