This pkg offers 17" tires and wheels ($5,318). It's about time to say the least. WHY is this Pkg NOT offered on the 04' Sierra? I could NEVER figure out why a 4X4 pickup truck did NOT offer tires over 16". It NEVER made sense. Hell, you can get 17" tires on the Seville Cadillac. And NOW Ford is offering 18" on it's new 04' F-150's.

It makes sense from a manufacturers standpoint. If people want that certain package then they will buy a Z71 which cost more $$ which means more profit. Its all how corporate America revolves around the $.

on a 4x4 you want more rubber than rim IMO

good luck getting tires for a 17inch rim. I have friends who sold their trucks because they didnt want to deal with the 17 inch tires when it came time to change them. There are many more options for a 16 inch rim.

Yeah, but that will only be a temporary delimma.

 

Give it a little time, with all the rigs sporting larger wheels, the tire makers will catch up.

 

Back around 95, I had a heck of a time finding a decent set of tires for the 92 (16 inch) but now, they are everywhere.

 

Of course.....The internet hadn't caught on yet either....Severely limiting options.
