96 Jimmy / 03 S10 Engine Swap?

Hi everyone! I bought a 1996 Jimmy at a personal property auction that was sold as-is and is in excellent cosmetic condition,BUT...turns out the 4.3 l engine is cracked and needs replacement. I found a local possibility but am getting mixed opinions from mechanics in my area as to compatibility. It’s from a 2003 S-10 with a 4.3 Vortec, an X version with 180 hp. I have some saying it would just be a matter of removing the spider injection system but others that say it’s a no-go either way. I greatly appreciate any advice on this, really want to see this Jimmy on the road again!
