I have 298mm Gen 1 4l60e transmission that I am trying to put into my 2004 silverado 5.3l 4*4 with a concave flex plate and a standard length crankshaft. I believe the donor transmission is a 4l60e Gen I that came out of a 2003 chevy trailblazer. I have replaced the donor transmissions 6.5in bell housing w/out top bolt hole with my 300mm silverado transmissions (Gen III) 7in bell housing w/top bolt hole. Any pointers to what I must do to make the torq converter seat properly? Can this work? Will I need (3) longer torque converter bolts if I get the kit with spacer?
