I purchased a 2021 Tahoe with 7 miles on it.  At 1600 miles, I noticed interior condensation in the vehicle and a smell.  After 58 days in the shop for 2 repair attempts, the dealership sealed 4 different water intrusion points at the seams of the body.  The body was not completely welded at the manufacturer.  All of the interior components were removed from the car, mold was identified, and when reassembled, interior is scratched and gouged, parts rattle and I had to scrape ice off the inside of my windows.

I see all the complaints and comments about sunroof drain lines, but this make has other issues related to water on the interior as well.

my dealership was great, they were as frustrated as I was.  After fruitless months of trying to work with GM, who obviously were not concerned for my interest, I hired an attorney.  It has been 7 months, but really the only option.

I have a 2021 Tahoe LT and have the same issue with water in my floorboard. The week I drove it off the lot I found water in the floorboard (Aug 2021). The dealership I purchased from said the sunroof drain line was disconnected and “fixed” it. Now it’s August 2022 and I’m having the same issue again and my car smells like mildew. I have filed a complaint GM but they said it could take 4 weeks to get a resolution.

Just purchased a 2022 Denali less than 2 weeks ago, rained 2 days after getting truck, water dripping from onstar buttons and drivers floorboard is soaked, took it to dealer, they said a drain was clogged , dried the carpet and sent us on our way, rained 2 days ago, floor is soaked again. We waited months to get this truck and now I’m seeing a lemon law fight in my future. This is a known issue and GM should be ashamed that they keep looking the other way and selling these, knowing there are water issues. I can guarantee if after 36000 miles my dash is corroded and things stop working gm will say to bad. $86,000 dollars and gm could care less.  Very sad!!

I’m having the same issue with my 22 Tahoe high country. I bought this new as my 16 suburban was totaled earlier this year thru no fault of my own and I couldn’t find a suitable and comparable replacement. I noticed weeks ago an unpleasant smell and I just shrugged it off to it being my sons smelly sweaty gear riding around all summer in the truck. Went to the car wash and the attendants brought the water to my attention under my drivers side weather mats and the drivers side second row floorboard both were soaked underneath to where it was growing mildew. I had no clue it was soaked. No visible drips or water running anywhere when I drove it. As a Chevy customer who survived a terrible crash because of my suburban (thank the Lord) I couldn’t buy anything else and feel comfortable, but this is extremely unsettling to spend this much and have so many others with the same issues.

What’s upsetting to me is every time I take mine to the dealership they act like they’ve never seen this before, and I’m the only one having this problem. Just picked ours up Monday after the dealership had it for 4 days and could not find a leak. It rained last night and the floorboard is soaked again. So now we will be taking it back for a third time and I’m sure we’ll get the same result. We’ve made exactly 1 payment on this $86,000 truck,         ( 2022 Denali ) haven’t even had it 2 months, and if it isn’t fixed this time we’ll be starting the process for the lemon law. We’ve had water come out of the onstar button, the drivers side A pillar, and dripping from the dash under the steering wheel. My concern is we’re going to have corrosion on electrical components and or inside the A pillar and the floorboard and I can guarantee GM won’t cover any of it outside of my warranty.

Sorry, I saw where you asked if the legal route worked, GM doesn’t respond to lawyers either:). He is getting ready to take more positive legal actions - file with courts I suppose.  Long slow process, but I refuse to pass my moldy stinky 2021 Tahoe to some poor sap and I want total buy back

I had a Tahoe a little while back and was having issues left and right. Contacted California Lemon law Center to see if something could be done about it; they were able to get all my payments back and even some on top. Would highly recommend any of you who are experiencing issues with your cars to reach out and see if you have a case.

We have continuously had the same problem with our 2021 Tahoe. Every time it rains, the driver's side floor mat gets soaked.  We took it in to the dealer.  They blew out the drain lines and said it was fixed, but it still has the same problem.  Fortunately we live in Southern California, so it only rains a few time a year, but it is incredibly frustrating that there is no solution to this problem. GM should be able to solve the problem.  Has anyone had success solving this problem.
