Just got a 2020 RST 6.2. It is way quieter then my previous 5.3. Would like it to at least sound like a truck. I see is has to resonators right before the exits of the dual exhaust. It still would have a muffler. So wouldn't be like straight pipes. Wondering if anyone had done away with them and if so how did is sound. I would like to replace them with stainless steel pipes and use the same exit's . Anyone done this. Or is there a better way without breaking the bank?  Ideas please.

I had the muffler delete done on my 6.2 and I actually like it a lot. No drone on the highway but still aggressive on startup and acceleration. I've thought about playing with the resonators and seeing what happens. Some guys have been taping the screens up with exhaust tape to change the sound. It's really interesting how these new exhausts work.

Is that legal to remove the muffler?

As far as I know, yes. But my state doesn't do emissions testing and I don't know how that would affect inspections.
