Wester's Tune Program

Welp, I went ahead and took the plunge. I ordered a tune program from Wester's Garage. I got the 91 octane tune, and only because 93 octane is not readily available in Tucson. Lyndon said it wont make a huge difference anyway. The most change will be had when compared to the 87 octance tune. I am not really concerned with saving a few $$$ at the pump. Anyways, I am hoping to see it by then end of the week, so I will keep you guys posted on the results.

Yeah, I cant wait. I used to have a Superchips Microtuner and it really disappointed me. The performance was minimal and the user-control was crap (I had no control!). For about the same price I am going to get 20X the performance and control.

Hi all, kinda new here, I have added

HPPIII on 93 octane tune

K&N FIPKII

Flowmaster 70 with duals (dual in dual out, one muffler)

This droped my 1/4 mile times .7 sec. Can I expect much of a difference from Westers 93 tune over HPPIII with these mods.

PS. Are there any mods that work best with Westers?

That and its cheaper and you dont have to send a PCM to Canada. As soon as Allen gets his dyno and I can get to Texas, Im getting my truck dyno tuned! Bunch of guys on LS1Truck.com have his tunes also.

My computer arrived this morning but the truck just started to come apart for a new lift install along with some Crane studs and roller rockers ('02 8.1 HD). I went with there 93 octane version and custom programming for the cam that I'm running. I'll drive the truck for a few days with the rocker arm upgrade and then install the computer to see what the difference is.
