1500 to HD conversion.. need more info

Hey guys,

so I’ve seen a few thread on this forum and social media About people swapping over to the hd front end. Bumper and grill.. 

 

I’ve messaged a member here who’s done it and can’t get a reply. So who can help..?

iv sourced a compete hd bumper and a hd grill.

i understand you have to get the filler pieces and brackets, trim down the black fender trim and slot the 1500 mounting brackets to allow the bumper to drop down a bit. I’ve also seen possibly shimming the mounting brackets out 1/8” 

However, nobody addresses the towhooks. From what I’ve seen they don’t line up. Which makes sense however is there A solution?? 
 

second, what other problems could I find? I will be roughly $2-2500 deep into parts. 
not worried about paint, or the labor. I am capable of both.

Any updates? Im in the same boat , although ive heard that the stock bumper brackets work if you drop them about 1/2” and redrill im yet to verify but 3 guys that did it said they used the stock bracket and lowered it , 2 other guys said buy the hd bracket and weld lower , im hearing possibly 2500 bumper guides maybe needed
