Windshield wiper issue

This was somebody else's post that was never solved and I'm having the same issue so I thought I would try to repost it.

 

Every time I start the 2014 Silverado LTZ the wipers make one swipe.  This started as an intermittent issue, I could cycle the wipers and they would return to home position and work as they should.  Occasionally the wipers would be slightly above the home position as though they were in intermittent mode.  If I cycled them a few times they would return to home position.  Now they are always slightly above the home position no matter what I do.  Any suggestions on how to get this resolved?

 

I have been trying to find a solution but am having a hard time. The only thing I can find is that it could be a relay that is inside the fuse box and that is nonreplaceable. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Think you may have answered your question.

 

There are certain components in the fuse box that can not be replaced. learned this with my 08 when the 3rd brake stopped working, only way to fix was a new under hood fuse box.

 

Have you check with a dealer for confirmation?

Sorry to bump an old thread, I have this exact issue... did a fuse box replacement fix this? I have replaced everything else from BCM to transmission linkage, nothing changed. I have not touched the fuse box.
