Iam thinking of doing a swap, Is it that hard ?

Any help would be great. Located in NE Pennsylvania....

What Donor truck to use? would like a 12 bolt front axle .

Anyone selling parts ?

Anyone have pics that has done this ?

Its like the adage, if you have to ask the price you cant afford it. Figure on spending several thousand dollars and a looooooong time fabricating, cutting, and welding the parts of your truck that you most particularly dont want to have fall off when driving. I know there is a company that sells a 'kit' for the 99+ chassis which runs in the $5-10k range, but its still mostly a custom project.

well, i was thinking ,,

Cut all the ifs out. start with a clean frame. Measure where the new leaf springs will go, get them mounted / shackles ..

Bolt axle in setting correct pinnion deg. Fab new shock mounts.

ditch the ideler arm , run a link from the pitman to a tie rod of the solid axle.

new drive shaft. break lines , lock out hubs...

So lets start with what iam missing...
