Changing ATF to Synthetic with 45K on it?

I was thinking of changing the atf to syn, but with 45K on it, would it hurt or help?

Either way I have to get the tranny flushed. Any info would be appreciated.

I have an 01 1500 Sierra Z with 5.3.

I can only think it would help. Especially since you are getting a full flush. If you have the money, go for it!

I agree. Plus you can extend the drain interval if you want and you have extra protection if you haul or tow at all.
