Some guy got decal happy

Driving down the road a couple days back and I saw this compact Ford truck. We were at a stoplight so I decided to check out the Ford like I do with any other truck that's beside me. First off, the paint job was odd...nothing I had ever seen before on a Ford. He had him a chrome decal that said Ranger, but below that he had another chrome decal that said F-150. Then as he pulled away I saw that he had yet another chrome decal that said Explorer on the back. Whats up with this, does this guy's truck have identification problems?

i dunno. something stupid. like that time i saw an escort with japanese lettering on it or the time i saw a blazer with "powered by (insert japaese letters)" on it

I remember years ago.......I owned a FORD (sorry) truck. It was a 1978 FULLSIZE F-150 RANGER! As fior the Explorer...for some reason...that name I believe was also badged on a early for truck. Just my .02 worth!

before 1983 there were ranger versions of the f-series. up until i guess 1986 there were explorer versions. these were trim packages. i don't think that they were offered at the same time on a truck though.

these packages had stuff like tu-tone paint, more chrome, etc..

I don't think you found all the badges. It must have been one of those new F150, Eddie Bauer, Ranger, Explorer, Expedition, Excursion, Harley Davidson, Boss, SVT, Bronco, Blackwood, Roush special edition trucks
