I have a 2021 Silverado LT with the 8" non Bose radio. I would like to add a powered sub such as the JL Audio or the Kicker. What a exactly do i need to accomplish this. I know i need power wires for the Amp, i am referring to getting signal from the radio. Sorry if this has been asked before i did a search and could not find anything.

I don't have that information for you. I don't like to mess with factory wiring so I'd probably spend the money on a plug & play kit like this: https://lljcustoms.com/store/ols/products/2014-2018-gm-t-harness-for-8-screens-without-bose-1418gm8

mentioned here: https://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/224420-sub-install/

Also, I've been finding searching this site on google seems to work better than the forum search.

If the amp will take speaker level input you can get away with just the "harness no unit" option. I'd guess the Kicker does and i wouldn't be surprised the JL would. I lean JL myself. You could then purchase your own speaker wire or you could have them make the harness longer but their max of 20' I feel like would be short, depending on where your amp is going.. Here I would/will probably get my own speaker wire from Crutchfield or something and get the standard length harness. If this is the way you go you only need to worry about the first 2 drop downs. You can always add a line converter later if you choose. Their price seems fair but nothing amazing for you to need to buy it from them. I did this in my Canyon, started speaker level and then added line converter. It had the Bose though so I ended up needing an LC2i Pro to combat the Bose removing bass as the volume increased.

Here's what they say about determining which connectors you have: *For the Non-Bose, Non-Factory Amplified system the connectors will be located behind the glove box, above the kick panel. Your connectors may be either Aqua and Tan or Black and Gray. You will want to make sure and verify which connector colors your vehicle has before placing an order. They are not interchangeable; ordering the wrong color may cause delays in your install by needing to exchange the harness.
