I would like any info @ all on oil filter relocation kits for a 2003 GMC 2500 4X4.

Have you done it, thinking about doing it or have any reason not to do it?

Any help at all would a appreciated.

I'm guessing you have the Vortec 8100 and things are a little cramped?

I'd look at the Amsoil Dual Remote kit: you get a large main filter (SDF) and a large bypass filter (BE). You can locate the filter somewhere along the frame where it's easier to service.

My Vortec 5300 is very easy to service as the oil filter hangs alongside the oil pan, next to the drainplug. I'll probably add the Amsoil Dual Remote kit late this spring so I can get the Bypass Filter.

Have always put bypass filters on my equipment and this is the easiest way to do it.

Here is a web page that you can get some idea's on how others have installed the remote by pass filter kits.

It is something on how some of the individuals have mounted this system. AMSOIL makes a dual and single bypass kit. There are various ways to mount and adapt to your vehicle.

I believe there is an individual on here that did it to his 8.1. Just do a search. It wasn't but a month ago that I saw that. He went into depth and even did awesome pictures.

Remote bypass set ups from various individuals.

If you have any questions please let me know.

Yeah, Amsoil makes it easy to add remote/bypass with their Dual Remote kit. I especially want it just to be able to change the oil only when the UOA tells me to.

With Amsoil 0W-30, I wonder how long it would take to drop the TBN from 12.5 to 4.5?? Just curious.
