Tail light wire identification for LED tailgate strip

I am making a custom tailgate LED strip for my truck and need to tap the 12v switched wires to control the strip. I need separate lines for the turn signals since I'm doing sequential animations for them, so I can't use the trailer connection since brake and turn are combined. The most logical source of these switching inputs seems to be the tail lights.. Does anyone know the pinout for the tail lights, specifically the LED ones? Also, is there a recommended fuse to tap for such an accessory? Thanks!
