Can a Sub wire posts become Magnetized?

My infinity 10" 1020W sub plays for about 1 minute when i get it installed then it quits.

 

I have a Kicker 150.4 amp installed, it is working perfectly i even got it tested cause i thought that it was the problem.

 

So i took the sub out and test it with my ohm meter and i get 3.8 which is good and the cone is not frozen. So i put a 9V battery on the posts and it makes the sub move and crack, like it should then the posts become magnatized somehow and the battery just sticks to them, but the sub won't even move.

 

Anyone now what is going on?

Is the speaker 2 Ohm?

I had a 2 Ohm speaker hooked to a 4 Ohm fosgate amp, it would cut off and on. Turns out it was pulling too much and overheating the amp, in turn...turning the amp off and ona bout every 5 or so min.

That's what I was going to say...Or your power lead to your amp isn't big enough, so when the sub starts with the big draw, the amp can't get enough juice, and shuts down.

Figured out the problem

 

The voice coil was loose in the sub and so it would play until it shook loose and then it would stop, then if you played with the sub a bit i guess the wire would touch enough to play for a bit and then stop.

That really sucked cause i couldn't get the sub fixed and had to settle for a MTX sub which is way crappier than that sweet infinity, but oh well the stereo is workin and for my first install i am quite happy
