power window -- click click click

Any clues on what to check out before taking to dealer. (out of warranty )

It is not due to cold weather as I live in Houston.

My driver side window does the same thing. Clicks for about 30 seconds and then goes up. Happens every couple of months. Its probably just a bad switch, but I just live with it.

ok I have no experience with a '00 chevy, and i am assuming this is the truck in question, doing some research myself because you didn't state what year or type of truck has the problem window so i looked in your profile and found you have a '00 chevy 2500. Ok like i said i have no experience with a '00 truck but from your clues in this riddle the window makes a click click noise when the button is activated. This tells me you are getting power to the window motor therefore i would look into a possible window off the track or motor off the track problem. I'd start by pulling off the door panel and taking a peek at whats going on in there when the button is pushed......
