Good morning,

This is my first post, although I've been watching/reading these forums for the last year while I decided on Chevy vs Ford.  While I like my truck, I don't LOVE it, primarily because of the well documented brake squeal and a persistent back end suspension squeak.  These were annoyances I had on my 15 year old, 200k mile Nissan Titan, didn't expect them on a brand new $65k truck.

Which brings me to today's issue....the power tailgate.  I have an LTZ, and the power tailgate is completely dead.  Neither the key fob, inside switch, nor push button on the tailgate itself work.  I've pulled the 30amp fuse for it and that appears to be fine.  The tailgate is in the closed position, and I'd like to at least be able to open it as I don't know when I will be able to get it in for service.  I have removed both inside tailgate access panels (long one along the top, and small square one on lower passenger side) in hopes of being able to drop it down manually.

Does anyone know of a manual release somewhere?   This seems to be the most idiotic engineering decision ever to not have a manual backup easily accessible.  Thanks in advance for any help.
