No luck in selling my 02. So, I'll keep it...

I have tried, tried, and tried! Many of you may have seen me post in the "For Sale" section. I own a 58,000 mile 2002 Silverado, which I was considering selling. I have tried selling it for almost 3 months, but no luck!

I have the truck parked near a very busy road, and after all this time I have only received 2 phone calls. Both calls were offers to purchase the truck. Problem is, they wanted to jew me down $3000 from asking price, which I cannot do. Truck is worth every dollar in which I was asking!

The main reason I wanted to sell my 02?? Mileage. Yes, the miles. I bought the truck in May 03 with 56,000 miles on it, and I have only put 2300 miles on it. Honestly, there is nothing wrong with the truck, and I really do enjoy it. It just has some highway miles on it; that's it.

But that is OK, because Saturday morning, it is back on the road again!!!

Now, for the past 3 months I have been driving a 2-wheel Silverado Ext Cab. Boy, what a difference 7 years makes with the full-size trucks. But hey, they are fun to work on, and they are a good product.

I think you made the right choice. You can drive that truck for a long time and it won't fall off much in value. The "hit" has already been taken. Besides, you should have a miminum of 100k miles to go before the chance of anything serious going wrong.
