Lighting

I'm just ordered Hella H4 headlights for my car, which, ahem, technically aren't DOT approved in US(TUV apporoved in Germany though).

But, I figured while I was improving my headlights I might as well go all the way, and buy the PIAA Xtreme White Bulbs for them(Silverstar's aren't made for H4 car light's, becuase H4's are only put on motorcycle's over here).

But I believe PIAA's Xtreme White Bulb line IS DOT approved.

Anyway, I doubt I'd get pulled over, as long as they are aimed correctly. Plus IF My PIAA say "DOT approved" I'll keep the instructions or box that states it in my car just in case.

The upgrade should put my headlights "look" at 4150 Kelvin, and HID's are rated around 4300 Kelvin, so I'm hoping it looks good. With the regular H4's and standard buld the lighting ranges increases almost 2 times, so altogether I shouldn't have too much trouble seeing anymore, as the ones I have now are sealed beam units, and don't cut it when I'm trying to find a house number for work!
