Steering Stabilizers

Found two steering stabilizers for the ½ ton, 1500 4x4 trucks, New Body Style. These stabilizers DO NOT require that your truck be lifted.

Anyone have either of these exact same units on a ½ ton, 1500 4x4 truck, NBS, without a lift? If so, how do you like them?

Heckethorn : Part # 87326

Fits up to year 2002

Bolt on (no drill)

Doesn’t increase the turning radius.

Rancho : they only make stabilizers for the 1500 HD and up.

Monroe and Gabriel : couldn’t get any info.

Pro-Comp and TrailMaster : no info. yet, but I’ll keep trying.

I was looking into this a while back, and am still interested in getting the Skyjacker one. They have a single and dual stabilizer set for the trucks.

I have the SkyJacker single stabilizer on my truck. Easy to install, quality parts, dramatic difference noticed as soon as I started to drive it. I have taken in offroad at our farm going through creekbeds, mudpits, rutted out paths, it was nice to have the steering wheel not jump out of my hands. I have also had the Heckethorn stabilizer on my old Toyota truck. It was also nice, but can't really tell a major difference, the Toyota already had a stock stabilizer. Rancho does have one, said it was for lifted trucks on some sites, then on others it makes no mention of needing a lift to work. I posted a link to a Rancho stabilizer in another post. Try www.central4WD.com, it may only work on OBS trucks though. Chris

For the ½ ton, 1500 4x4 truck, NBS, without a lift, only the single stabilizer option is available from Skyjacker. If I correctly understood what the salesperson said, to use the double requires having a lifted truck.
