Hi. I’ve researched and cannot seem to find a straight answer on what I am searching for.

I have a 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500HD LT Z71 gas with the 6L90 transmission. My question is: was this truck made with the temperature valve that only opens the trans oil to the auxiliary cooler once it reaches a certain temperature? Or is it continuous flow regardless.
I’m towing a 7500 travel trailer and live in FL, so may be thinking about doing modifications to it to keep the temps down as most of my traveling will be in 80-100 degree weather

That truck does not have the trans thermostat. 1500 series had them in that year only.

Thanks. So I can assume then that it is continuous flow through the cooler at all times and temps?

Yes.  HD gas 15-19 do not have the transmission thermostat bypass valve.
