my current motor has a miss and 6th cylinder is gone because of the thing where is switches to v4 to save gas and i want to get rid of that and i want to know if i cant put a ls3 in my 2015 or does it have to be the same type of motor and jus have the v4 thing deleted?

The LS3 is an "LS" engine, runs a totally different engine management system and nothing would really bolt up at all.

 

The L83/L86 in your truck is an "LT" engine with direct fuel injection and AFM/VVT. You can delete the AFM/DoD stuff by buying an aftermarket camshaft and removing all the AFM lifters. Deleting the VLOM plate for the AFM system and couple other things. Then get it custom tuned by someone near you.

 

Lots of information out there on DoD deletes, so you'll need to start doing your research on it.
