6.2 Exhaust Options

Recommended Posts

Trying to find a catback system for my 2012 6.2 Crew, but limited options. I found some Flowmaster systems that are for 2011-2018…. Can you run a 2014-2018 catback system on a 2008-2013?  If so, is there any modifications or does it bolt right up? Any help would be appreciated.

Frame mount locations and the bends of the pipe aren't exactly the same on the 2014+ trucks so they aren't an exact fit.

If you truly wanted too you could technically buy a 5.3 catback system and then just cut the 6.2 catback end off and cut the 5.3 end off, then weld the 6.2 end back on to make it work. That would open up a lot more options.

The 6.2 isn't going to outflow a 3in exhaust that most 5.3 catbacks are.
