I bought a new Mechman 250 Amp alternator.
I'm thinking I should upgrade the alternator wires.
1. Is this necessary given I have a stock 150 Amp alternator?
2. If so, what length and what size cable should I buy?
3. I want to upgrade because with all the stuff I've installed, my current (I guess that's a pun?) alternator tests good and the battery tests good (Autel MaxiBAS BT 506) but my SOC (state of charge) sits at 10 to 50 percent (until I manually toss on a charger).
While the charging system seems good, the alternator just doesn't seem to keep up on a day to day basis.
4. I searched the forum but didn't find anything.
5. Any thoughts?

Seems unnecessary, so far.

Never mind, see above.

After the install, my SOC is up to 80-100 percent

No responses here, either so I hope this helps others!

Nah, just see above.
