Goose Season

So how have all the Goose hunters done this year? FIgure I would put a shout out since the season here in colorado is about 3 weeks away from wrapping up. I've been out a couple times this year had some luck but looking to hit gold in the next 2 weeks.

 

Im going to put up some peppered goose jerkey this year.

Went once this year and killed 37 in one shot. Went home filled up freezer

Here in So. IL. which used to be the goose hunting capitol of the world we actually have had a pretty good season. It all ends Sat though and as usual the birds are just now coming down. We are sitting on 105 birds for our pit this year which only did 26 last year and 21 the year before. This pit usually does 200-300 birds a year but the past two seasons there has been no migration here. Actually we had half the birds this year and did five times better! Looking to smack them again Fri. & Sat!

I used to hunt near Cairo with the Billings club. It's been several years

Im a custom call maker and I just met a guy this year at a show that was talking about that club. I can't remember his name though. I bet if it was several years ago you were knocking the snot out of them. Times have quickly changed!

I've gotten into the calling here lately, don't claim to be good but can kill geese isn't that the important part WINK WINK...

I duck hunt, and shoot geese once in a while. Bird hunting is the most exciting hunting to me.

a buddy of mine shot 73 one saturday (about 3 weeks ago). i went and only got about 10.....darn things were too far out in the cornfields...
