What speed is safe to disengage 4WD??

I can't seem to find my owner's manual, just had it the other day, now it's lost. What is the maximum speed that I can safely disengage the 4WD? I've got the push button. Past week I've been going about 60mph in 4WD, wanted to disengage it, but didn't feel comfortable doing so without knowing for sure. Thanks, Chris

Don't have my manual handy but I've done it as high as 60mph. I do this during the summer just to get some oil circulating in the front diff. I switch to 4wd for a couple minutes and then out. It's ok on the highway as long as the road is pretty straight. I would not recommend doing it on a windy dry pavement road.

Now if you're talking 4wd LO, I believe you are supposed to come to a complete stop.

I have an '02 Z71 and have done it that fast - a lot of times I will put it in 4WD while driving down the freeway just to get the parts moving in there - I let it run for a few minutes and then disengage it.

Thanks, my truck is in 4WD about every weekend at the farm, but while driving at high speeds I was a little hesitant to push the 2WD button. Next time I won't be worried! Appreciate it! Chris
