As soon as my trucks infotainment system was updated to software V810, I received a new app download named GMC Map+ . Tried it out and had all sorts of issues with audio when using the app with iHeart radio app. Constant start and stop of sound like system has a memory leak or just plain old out of memory. Biggest issue was when I stopped for gas on a long trip. First, I stopped truck and opened door. While fueling I left door open and key in ignition. It was a warm day in October. As soon as I finished fueling and got into truck the issues started. Got seat belt on and started truck. Infotainment system went Bug "hit. First off, my music now was playing a FM radio channel that did not exist and was nothing but static. It was playing on top of IHeart radio app. Next I noticed that there was a gps symbol with the red line through it meaning no gps. Also noticed the temp display was gone. To fix audio I finally switched to FM and back to iHeart and that dropped the FM band out and left iHeart. Stopped truck and got out and locked door for 5 minutes to see if other issues would clear. Nope still no gps and temp. iHeart continued to break up. So continued to drive. Next day when I started truck everything was ok. That did not last long. Same problem again when I fueled up. Door open again. Then last fueling I closed the door and removed key and this time problem did not return. One thing though, iHeart sound still broke up. It always break up when using the GMC Maps+ app. Now home I removed the GMC Map+ app and went back to the older NAV app and no problems. V810 software updated works great. The GMC Map+ app sucks so be aware. I suspect that this app is a memory hog. It is 50megs of crap to load and who knows what its ram requirements are. It's the largest user of memory by more that 50%. GMC, I hope you read this because this app really bites the big one. Maybe it works in Gen3 trucks, but not mine.

Yea looks like a new subscription based nav option.  Needs the $15/mo connected services.  Looks like they rolled it out to 2018+current vehicles.
