Jackley62 Posted April 28, 2024 Posted April 28, 2024 I have a 2014 Silverado 1500 LTZ. I went into vehicle settings and set up the heated seats to come on when using the remote start. Ever since then the heated seats do not work. The lights on the dash come on but no heat. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to fix this?
Ed S Posted May 1, 2024 Posted May 1, 2024 2014 and 2015's are notorious for the heated seat elements to go bad. Weak design in the elements. Mine failed on both sides on my 2014 and it didn't even have 50,000 miles on it yet. It's usually, but not always, just the lower element you actually sit on. I had mine replaced at the local dealer. Just all at once both sides quit working. Was about $700.00 plus to get just the two lowers diagnosed and replaced. Could be this is what happened to you. Might just be a coincidence it was when you changed the settings. 2
xranger90 Posted May 14, 2024 Posted May 14, 2024 I'm gonna tip my neighbor about heated seat element replacement. He's looking at this neat 2014 Sierra with new brake pads and tires from 4Wheelonline along with a new bed cover. The interior is bit mess though (kids) and the driver heated seat not working.
