Does anybody know what the resistance is for the magnaride on our trucks? A while ago a replaced my rear shocks with a non-magnaride shock and for a while I was using the servo’s that I pulled off my original magnaride shocks to trick the computer into thinking I still had the original shocks, it worked for a while, but apparently one of the servo’s wasn’t entirely secured and I lost it on the interstate and the “service suspension system” error pops up on the cluster.

I see they sell magnaride bypass kits online and they’re rather expensive for what I assume is just a resistor with the stock connector for easy installation.

I’ve done some research and I’ve come across threads discussing resistors for older Cadillacs with magnaride and they were suggesting 3ohms or 6ohms for their systems.

i was hoping somebody on here has bypassed the systems using the resistors that are available online for a couple bucks. If you have, what are the specifications for the resistors that work for our trucks?

TIA

I don't know about the T1's, but on my 2008 Avalanche LTZ the stock magnaride was gone when I bought the truck. It sort of had some resistors in place. I don't know how it wasn't throwing codes for the front struts because there weren't any resistors. The ones I bought online you had to cut off the stock connector and but splice in the resistor. It was the same with the Rough Country lift struts that came with the resistors. Those were butt spliced in as well. Not sure if you still have a warranty, the dealer might give you grief over cutting wires.

not concern about warranty as I have 193k miles on it.  Purchased in Jan 21 with 5k miles. CPO warranty has long been gone…

so you know have no idea the specs on the resistors on your 2008?
