I was just wondering how many horses do the 350 Tbi and the 350 Vortec have?? anyone know?

bone stock:

350 TBI=

195HP

295 TQ

 

350 Vortec =

240 HP

335 TQ(I believe)

 

but, for around $350, and an hour or two of DYI,, my 350 TBI has around 235-240 HP and 355-360 TQ, if the claims add up.

It actually varies among the years it is not a straight divide 88-95 and 96-00.

I'll see if I can't dig up the complete numbers.

Yeah, I think my 92 was actually rated at 185 HP, and my 02 at 295

 

Something like that anyway.

Vortec=255hp

u could slap a blower on... but thats gunna be about 10x ur original amount... BUT, on a positive note, u'll exceed ur 240 range!!!

 

either way, start with headers and exhaust, maybe a chip...could be done for $350... ebay is ur new friend!
