Slave Axis Out of Sync with Master

Today I started calibrating my stepper motors in Mach3. The X and Z axis were set up correctly but I had problems with the Y axis because I have a slave A motor. The master motor is also set correctly - for example, when I set 500mm in Mach3, the master stops at this distance, but the slave stops at 495 (there is a direct correlation - master 200mm -> slave 198mm (I don't write decimals, just an example). I also tried to set the number of steps for the A axis the same way as the previous axis, but nothing changes (I think mach3 uses the information from the master motor for counting). I also tried sherline mode - no change. If anyone has the same problem and solved it, please help
