2002 GMC Sierra Denali 1500, Electrical/Passlock Issues

I love this truck but drug addicts tried to steal it by destroying the ignition with a screwdriver, they were not successful

 

I've been throwing parts at it ever since, replaced the ignition switch, switch housing, entire ignition switch harness, shifting interlock unit

 

The only tumbler available (says NAPA) was the DIY with the little wafers and springs, I did that and it seems to work fine, yet...

 

I can't even get to the switch "relearning" process because when I turn the switch to ON, all the external lights on the car including headlights come on and they stay on until the battery dies if I let it

 

Also, with the key completely OUT the warning message display keeps showing BATTERY and the transmission gear display is lit, won't go out...trucks starts and dies just like if the Passlock is activated

 

Sounds like PCM but all roads seem to point to my new switch, which it won't allow me to relearn, brothers and sisters I need your help!
