I've put up with noisy leaf springs on my GMC Sierra for 4 years and finally solved it.  This is an issue GM has not addressed and apparently won't fix.  I even went to the point of spending $900 for new leaf springs which eventually had the very bad, groaning, creaking, squeaking noise when going over uneven ground or turning a corner.  For those of you who have this issue (and there are many) just get some 1/4" thick rubber pads off Amazon, cut them out to fit in your leaf springs.  I bought some from Spring-Things.com for $45 ($57 with shipping) but to me it was well worth it.  You can buy the pads and cut them out yourself from Amazon for about half that price.  See the video on Spring-Things.com as to how to install them.

Now my truck is quiet as it should be --- no thanks to GM.
