So I have a 2017 gmc sierra Denali .
I wanna get rid of the cv axles and go with a 6/12 drop on it .
has anyone done this before ? I know there’s drop kits that have the upper and lower control arms that I can use to drop it 5in up front and still keep the cv axles in place but I want to go lower up front .
is there any damage that could happen if I remove the cv axles and ride it like that ?
am going to replace the spindles , upper and lower controls arms to a 2wd but I just wasn’t sure if the drive train was going to get messed up without having the cv axles in place .

I mean I guess technically if you remove the cv axles, change to 2WD front wheel bearings and all that stuff it would be fine. The stub shafts will stay in the front diff, just never switch the truck into 4AUTO or 4WD.
