Battery Drainage

I have the strangest thing draining my battery in my truck. When I push the keyless remote button to set the factory alarm (not aftermarket) alarm on the truck, the battery will die over night. BUT when I push the button only once to lock the doors the battery is perfectly strong over night. Can the factory alarm be draining the battery that bad? It doesnt bother me very much, but I would like to set the alarm!

There has to be something wrong with the alarm.

I have let my truck set for as long as 3 weeks with

the alarm on with no problems.

The alram might be shorted. But you're right, that is a weird one.

My parents had a conversion van that, that happend to. Still does it to this day, very strange.....probably a short somewhere

HMMMMM, do you think the dealer would be able to isolate the problem? I have been there done that with elecrical problems (on my dakota) and they never seem to be able to fix them.
