Update on my 2500 Crew 4X4

Just wanted to say thanks to all that have responded to my questions in the past. I have a 2004 GM 2500 Crew 4X4 / 6.0 / 3:73. I am one of the most "picky" people when it comes to my vehicles especially on the appearnace side. The first thing I did was turn my T-bars up. I found a local guy to turn them up 1.5" for $45.00 (wow). This made an unbelievable difference in the stance of the truck. I noticed no change in the ride. The second thing I added was an Extang roll-up cover (the new one). The local truck accessory dealer wanted $469.00, but I found it from Truck Expressions for $249.00 delivered. It is an awesome cover; very low-profile, no snaps, one person can roll it up and it installed quick. The hardest decision I had to make was tires. I absolutely hate the look of the 245 Bridgestones that came on the truck. Every new vehicle I have purchased I always go straight from the dealer to the tire shop and put Michelin LTX's on it, but my last Suburban my Michelins failed me. On my new truck I wanted to go bigger at least 265 or 285. I looked at them all and decided on the Bridgestone Revo's, unitl I priced them in 285's (WOW!). The local tire shop I deal with is a small country dealer and he told me to look at the Yokohama Geolander AT's. I have to say it is as good looking of a tire and very similar to the Revo's. I also talked with a guy that just put them on his truck and he loved them. I trusted the dealer and the guy and had them put on yesterday. I thought for sure I would have some road noise, but I was wrong. My truck handles far better and I hear no noise. I walked out the door spending $120.00 a peice for the 285's. To get a different look I removed all of the badging, decals and pin-striping.

I'll be posting pictures soon.

Thanks, Brent

Did you have the front end aligned after cranking the T bars and putting the 285's on? I am going to do the same exact thing (Tbars, 285's) this weekend. Just curious.
