Can I fit an aftermarket 2016 Silverado Bumper on my 2014 Sierra?

Looking at the Dirt King prerunner bumper but they claim it only fits a 16-18 Silverado. The plastic bumper needs to be modified for sure, but arent the mounting points on the frame the same between both vehicles? Provided I cut my upper bumper, wouldnt this still bolt on as is?

Can you fab something to make it fit your truck?  Probably.

Yeah, Im just hoping to get more information as to why it wouldn't fit. I've seen a couple of posts about Silverado and Sierra front ends being interchangeable so I don't know what wouldn't work. I don't have access to much fabrication capability currently but if it could be modified without welding then I've got options.

My only guess looking at the fronts of the trucks is the way that upper cap is re-used or whatever they do.  

 

I don't think the issue is with bolting it on, rather, the grille or the top bumper cap are the issues.
