Free fender tie back

I was gonna order some fender tie back brackets but I decided to pull the mud flaps and take a look and decided I could modify the brackets and use them for now. If it ever rubs in the future I’ll buy a tie back kit but this was super easy for me. 
 

After removing the factory bracket I cut the front mount off right at the bend. Then I layed the piece I cut of on the straight part marked my hole and drilled it out. Now that I had the hole where I wanted I bent that lip upward to a 90 deg angle in the bench vice.

If anything I would move the hole slightly towards the center just a smidge cause the screws where a little tough to get started. I also cut about 2 inches off the front inner fender to get it to stop rubbing.

Youll probably need to trim from the last bolt hole toward the frame on the carpet stuff as well because mine originally rubbed there but I had trimmed it along time ago.

Here’s how I cut my flaps I probably should have made them a little longer but they look ok I may end up getting the Kelderman ones later
