Hello,

I am in need of your help. I threw a P06DD code on my 2016 Silverado LTZ with a 5.3 V8 and 70K miles. After looking at the oil it was  black so I had it changed and the light reappeared. I then replaced the oil pressure sensor and boom light still turned back on. I am kind of confused because the pressure readings inside the truck are at 40PSI while driving and raise slightly with acceleration and are around 35 at idle. The truck hasn't lost power and is idling perfectly. Should I try an engine flush and another precure sensor before taking to shop for further diagnosis or are all signs pointing to the oil pressure solenoid? The light only takes about a mile down the road to turn back on.  Any help would be appreciated before I have to spend the 3K to get the pump replaced. I am a novice mechanic and don't think this is in my wheel house to repair. I am in NY and it wont pass inspection with the engine light illuminated.

-Thanks in advance!
