I know the valve bodies have been plaguing folks for some time. Mine went out on my 24 5.3 column Shift on 12/26 at 26k. Dealer has placed an order for part# 24071205, being told it’s back ordered nationwide with no ETA. I started calling dealerships across the country in an attempt to help locate one and ended up speaking with a nice service manager, who informed me the new valve body for my truck should be part #24071207. I informed my dealer of this and Indicated this may be why the prt they ordered is showing not available….but I’m not certainly. Does any know definitively what the current valve body part# should be for a gas, column shift ( if that matters) 1500? Thanks in advance.

Those two numbers DO NOT interchange.

24071205 is correct for a 5.3/10speed with column shift, transmission RPO code MHT.

24071207 is for RPO code MHS 10 speed with ETRS (electronic tranmission range selector) aka a center console truck with the shift-by-wire.

I would imagine however, that your dealer likely has 19436462 on order or will get a 19436462, which is the last # for that valve body, since GM has physical stock on that part.  Like, in almost all of their PDCs.  It is however under GM's ordering control, so your dealer should have what they call a SPAC case on that part for your truck.  As long as they filled out the required info correct, you should get one for your truck.
