Ijust posted a new article on the front page detailing a massive software update that aims to fix that. GM is officially rolling out Google Gemini to approximately 4 million 2022 and newer vehicles equipped with Google built-in.

 

Here is the quick rundown of what this AI upgrade actually does:

• No more robotic prompts: You can talk to it naturally. You can ask for directions to the nearest post office, and then add a stop for coffee halfway there in the same breath.

• Actually useful for towing: You can ask Gemini to find trailer-friendly parking or the cheapest diesel along your current route.

• Smart texting: It can summarize long texts and let you reply with natural speech (even adding emojis if that's your thing) without touching your phone.

 

The Catch: To get this update and actually use Gemini, you must be connected to OnStar.
