Changing the Trans. Filter 4L60E Deep Pan

Hi, I'm new to changing the transmission filter and fluid, when you take the filter off do you just pull down on it and then remove the old seal? After that do you just pop in the new seal and push the filter into the seal until it holds? Any info on how to install and remove the filter would be greatly appreciated since I don;t want to mess anything up the first time!

That's pretty much it

But the old seal is sometimes a bear to get out,just be carefull not to mar the aluminum w/sharp objects

 

I'll be doin mine up this weekend..gots me a Transgo shift kit w/Corvette servo, TCI cast aluminum tranny pan,remote mount/spin on trans oil filter,and a new tranny temp gauge....I'm a glutten 4 punishment
