Transmission fluid leak

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have an older Silverado (1998) K2500 with only 43,000K. I pride myself in the care I take with maintenence and appearance of this truck. Yesterday I noticed two or three small puddles on my driveway where my truck is parked. It appears to be automatic transmission fluid. I looked under the truck and saw small droplets forming at the bottom of the engine. I wiped off any access fluid I could find and moved the truck to a different spot for the night. This morning there was one more small spot. Not as bad as before. I just recently moved and had the truck loaded a few times, but did not experience and trouble or leaks until the other day. Any help or suggestions with this problem will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Did you see this @ the bell housing "WEEP HOLE" or were there witness marks(tracks from the fluid) coming from the pan gasket area..or @ the engine oil pan? :wtf:

Just a thought here. Does the Transmission dip stick lock down and seal good at the opening. If not it could come from there.
