Sheared bolt in manifold...

I was attempting to replace the thermostat gasket on my 84' S10 Blazer 4X4 today and managed to snap half a bolt off in the intake manifold.

 

Looks like I'm going to have to drill it and use an EZ-out to fix it.  Does anyone have any tips on performing this procedure?  This will be my first time.

If you have a tap and die kit, is there anyway you can drill through the old bolt, rethread the inside of it and then back the two of them out?

 

It may not work as that is a small diamter bolt, but just a thought.

Well, I ended up doing just that.  Drilled and tapped it.  Tried the EZ-out trick first - no dice.

 

All fixed now though.
