ABS Light is On

My dad has a 2003 Chevy Ex Cab 4x4 chevy truck and the abs/ brake light started coming on in it yesterday. Well along with the light is a VERY annoying dinging sound. I pulled the "brake" fuse in the fuse panel but the dinging is still going off at times. It seems like it has alittle to do with hitting bumps or when the truck is bounced. Well he has to take it for about a 10 hour drive this weekend and no time to get it in to check it out before then. Any ideas on how to stop the dining noise? Thanks,

If its under 36000 mi just take it to the dealer its under warrenty.
