What is the best cold air intake for a gas powered 5.7 L ????

Stock if you plan to get nasty of road as it will not suck water or mud from splashes.

Volant makes a good intake. I've got it on a Silverado SS with the cold air scoop.

I purchased the K&N FIPK kit and installed it in less than an hour. I really like the throttle response and sound differences . I don't keep up with the MPG, so I don't really know if it makes a difference. I do have some pictures of the install...
