Addition by subtraction?

Went and cleaned it up then decided that I didn't much care for my 2500HD emblems on the Sierra.Well,I got into it and couldn't stop myself so the only emblem left on the truck is on the grill, the 4x4 decals decided to depart too.Basically I spent the day turning this into this:

I'm not really one for busy emblems on a truck to begin with and it definitely has a better look now,in my opinion.

What do you guys think?

It's really amazing how much just taking off the decals can do for a truck or any vehicle for that matter. Thats pretty much the first thing I do to any new vehicle I purchase.

Looks good! I was going to say maybe remove the side mouldings but then I took a closer look and realized those are the GMC moldings which look really good. It's just the black plastic with tiny pin-stripe chrome on the Chevy's I'm not so big on.

Yeah I agree.Love the smoother look it gave too.

I thought about removing the door moldings as well but remembered that I hate door dings more than the moldings so they will stay.Too bad you sometimes have to gauge your decisions while factoring in how inconsiderate others can be.

Well,it may have had something to do with how new the truck is and how little the decals and emblems had to really set up but the entire process of removing 6 emblems and 2 decals took right at an hour, including clean time.I don't know if effort was any kind of factor in your decision but this is the 3rd vehicle I've done this to,2 of mine and 1 assisting a friend with his,and there really isn't much to it.I also had a can of Klean Strip adhesive remover so that definitely made life alot easier.

Anyway, thanks for the compliments but too bad the truck is filthy already because of a brutal thunderstorm that blew through in the early evening while the wife and I were going to dinner.Oh well, tomorrow's another day. :chevy:

Looks good. I'd like to take the huge Chevrolet sticker off the back of the 94 but I'm afraid of what the paint under it looks like since it hasn't seen 10+ years of sun.

Yeah at that age it might be a little noticeable,at least not as faded as the rest of the truck, and may somewhat stand out.

Thanks for the compliments. :chevy:

The bad part about that is that me and a friend joked around about that right after I was finished with the little project. :flag:
