Panic Alarm sets itself off

Has anyone had any problem with their panic alarm setting itself off? I have been woken up in the middle of the night on a few occasions because the panic button somehow has been activated - even though the keys are sitting on the table undisturbed. Help!!!

Do you live close a police station? Airport? Just wondering. I had an alarm that a police radio would set off if it was keyed within about 500 yards of my truck. I'm not sure about the keyless entry/panic button stuff though.

Just a thought.

Do you have a cat? They have a tendancy to step on the key fob and set off the alarm or lock the doors...

I usually have the key fob in my pocket and set it off by accident. Somehow, the button gets pushed i guess.

Sometimes it may be the fob...there r little round spring disks under the buttons that r glued to the circuit board,sometimes the glue softens from the heat in your pocket and the little discs shift causing intermittent connections

I think the button is just really really sensitve as I seem to hit mine a lot when digging in my pocket or if something hits the FOB. I wish there was a way to turn that part off.
