Escalade Cluster Sticker

HEy yall, I was just about to order a Escalade Cluster, and was wondering if I needed to have someone at the dealership witness that I put the correct mileage on the sticker that comes with the cluster? I plan on driving this truck till the wheels fall off, but will changing the cluster cause any insurance issues should I have an accident or anything? I know the actually milage is stored in the truck's computer also, but I wasn't sure if there would be any repercusions from this change. Thanks in advance!

The dealership should be able to actually set the mileage to the correct amount....For a fee.

Of course, they probably will want to be the ones to install it....For a fee. :jester:

For the most part, the dealers are unable to adjust the mileage for replacement clusters. They usually contract out to do this, and usually use Delphi's services for repairs. If it were me, I'd locate a speedometer repair shop (google search) in the Indiana area, or ask any car tech electronics type person for the location of such a shop and have the cluster adjusted. Typical charge ranges from $50 - $150.00, depending on the shop.

GM now sells I think 4 different clusters, $400 for the cluster, they install, change mileage to be correct, and is covered under your original warranty. Most after market clusters are $300-400, and you have to deal with the milage thing, and install yourself.

I just stuck my Escalade cluster in yesterday, looks and works great. The sticker does not say anything about certification, it just has the date, mileage and name fields. It also says that it is against federal law to remove or change the sticker. I just filled it out myself and since I do not plan on selling my old cluster and it still has the original mileage. Picked mine up from JPSCustoms for $275.00.
